    Absolutely! NovaWise provides flexible scheduling options to accommodate our clients' preferences. Whether you need assistance for a few hours a day, overnight care, or round-the-clock support, we will work with you to create a customized care schedule that fits your lifestyle and requirements.
  • How does NovaWise protect client privacy and confidentiality?
    NovaWise places a high priority on client's privacy and confidentiality. We adhere to strict privacy policies and comply with applicable privacy laws and regulations to maintain our client's information.
  • How often will I receive updates on my loved one's care? What should I do if I have questions or concerns?
    The frequency of updates can be customized according to your preferences.     Yes, you can change your scheduled care visits with advance notice (atleast 24 hours). Simply contact our team, and we will assist you in rescheduling your care visits.

    We offer Respite Care services to provide relief to family Caregivers. Whether you need a few hours or several days, our caregivers can step in to provide care and support, allowing family caregivers to take a well-deserved break or attend any event without any worries.

    NovaWise keeps detailed records of caregiver services through secure electronic systems and care logs, ensuring transparency and accountability. We keep track of their attendance and their work done with a internet based tracking app. Moreover, we provide detailed invoice with service provided only after the work is done.
  • What are the accepted methods of payment for services?
    We accepts various methods of payment, including credit cards, debit cards, electronic bank transfers, and cheque payments.
  • What are the rates for NovaWise services?
    We charge a flat rate of $25 per hour. If you are getting any governmental fundings (like from continuing care), there wont be any taxes. If you are privately paying, taxes will be charged. New Client Advantage and Referral Program are also there for you.
  • Are there any additional charges or fees apart from the hourly rates?
    There is no additional charge in anything at all at NovaWise Home Care, even for transportation services.
  • How often will I receive invoices for the services rendered?
    Invoices for NovaWise services are typically sent on a regular twice a month basis or depending on agreed-upon arrangement. This allows for accurate record-keeping and easy tracking of payments.
  • Are NovaWise's services covered by insurance?
    While insurance coverage for homecare services can vary depending on the specific policy, we recommend contacting your insurance provider to inquire about coverage. We are more than happy to assist you with any necessary documentation or information to support your insurance claim.
  • Does NovaWise offer any financial assistance programs or discounts?
    While we do not offer financial assistance programs directly, we explore other resources available to you. There are government-funded programs, long-term care insurance policies, or local community organizations that offer financial assistance.

  • Are your caregivers insured and bonded?
    Yes, our caregivers at NovaWise are insured and bonded for your peace of mind. They are covered by the Nova Scotia Workers' Compensation Board, ensuring that you are not held liable for any work-related injuries that may occur while they are providing care at your place. With our caregivers' insurance coverage, you can have confidence in the safety and well-being of both your loved one and your home.
  • Can I pay directly to caregiver? or Do I need to pay anything extra to a caregiver?
    No, you do not have to make any direct payments to caregivers at NovaWise. All payments should be made through our authorized payment channels to ensure proper record-keeping and accountability. There should be no additional fees or charges that you need to pay directly to the caregiver beyond the agreed-upon rates. Our goal is to provide a clear and straightforward payment process, ensuring transparency and peace of mind for our clients.
  • Can I request a change of caregiver if I am not satisfied with the service provided?
    We prioritize client's satisfaction. If you are not satisfied with the service or feel that a different caregiver would be a better fit for your needs, you can request a change of caregiver. We value your feedback and will work closely with you to find a suitable replacement who better meets your expectations and ensures a positive caregiving experience.
  • Will I have the same caregiver consistently, or will there be rotating caregivers?
    We strive to provide consistency in care by assigning a primary caregiver whenever possible. However, there may be instances when a substitute caregiver is required due to scheduling conflicts or caregiver availability. Rest assured, we ensure proper communication and coordination during such transitions to maintain continuity of care.
  • What happens if the caregiver is unavailable or unable to make a scheduled visit?
    In the event that a scheduled caregiver is unavailable, we have a contingency plan in place to ensure uninterrupted care. We will provide a substitute caregiver who is equally qualified and familiar with the client's care plan to fulfill the scheduled visit.
